Advertise on the Comics Curmudgeon!
If you’re interested in reaching comics fans, pop culture aficionados, and thousands of others surfing the Web while they should be at work, then you’re clearly going to want to advertise on the Comics Curmudgeon! The site currently sees about 160,000 ad pageviews a week.
Ads on the site. Four ad slots appear on each page on the main Comics Curmudgeon blog; you can buy space in these slots via BlogAds. All ads will accept either standard graphics or Flash animation, though audio ads are not permitted. Click each link below for pricing and to begin your purchase:
- Top big square: This is a 250 x 300 square graphic that appears at the top right of every page on the main Comics Curmudgeon blog, as well as the top left of each page on the forums site. For this ad, you can purchase only a portion of the impressions over a period of time at reduced rates.
- Between-posts banner: This is a 728 x 90 leaderboard graphic that appears between the first and second posts on each multi-post page on the blog, and just above the comments on each individual post page. (If a reader clicks on the “comments” link on the front page, when the inside page loads, this banner will appear at the top of the reader’s browser window.) The leaderboard also appears just below the big square on pages on the forums site. For this ad, you can purchase only a portion of the impressions over a period of time at reduced rates.
- Sidebar top spot: This is a horizontal ad that can accommodate either a 160-pixel-wide graphic or a mix of graphics and text, with varying height options available. This slot is limited to one graphic at any given time and will always appear at the top of the lefthand sidebar.
- Sidebar standard ad: These ads are identical in format to the top spot described above, but always appear just below the top spot ads. This ad slot may accommodate multiple ads, with the order randomized on each pageload if more than one ad is present.
RSS ads. I sell RSS ads via Project Wonderful, an auction-based ad system. Ads are a large square that appears at the top of each post, and you can bid on this spot here. Mobile ads. Ads aimed exclusively for mobile devices, which would see approximately 18,000 pageviews a week, are also available. To discuss this option, email me directly at bio at jfruh dot com.
Text links. Anyone who purchases any of the above ads will also be thanked within a blog post on each Monday evening during which your ad runs (or on the next Monday, if your ad buy doesn’t include a Monday).
